Two Bears,
I don't think you'll be dissapointed! I have yet to trail a deer i've shot here in MS. All have dropped in their tracks with only one going less that 10 yards.

Ukenout , Thanks , I will find out next weekend when opening day for deer begins . I'm impressed with the Encore 338-06 with the limbsavior pad , resonator and muzzletamer installed . Very little recoil , its a pleasure to shoot. Plus I can use it for , bear , caribou , elk , hogs and moose. Good Luck Hunting !

My .338-06 is a pre-64 M70 Win that has had the barrel rebored from .30 to .338. My 210 Noslers chronographed at 2810 fps and 250 Noslers at 2575 from the 24 inch barrel. Works great on elk and moose!
