What primers are you guys using?

The Russian made primers imported by Wolf are the favorite of high power rifle competitors shooting long range matches. They're more uniform than any of the others. And they seem to last forever in storage. Some use the magnum ones even in .308 Win. cases. Other primers seem to develop inconsistant ignition after a few years, but they'll still go off.

Virtually all rifle primers perform best when smacked very hard. Which means you might want to replace your firing pin spring every 2 or 3 years. And using springs rated 10 to 15 percent stronger than factory ones have always worked better.

Some guys say varget actually prefers cci br2's however my rifle with varget likes fed 210 match primers better. I haven't tried the wolf primers.

I find it hard to believe any powder would "like" or "prefer" a particular primer. "Liking" something requires a brain that thinks emotionally about stuff. And "preferring" is a close second.

That aside, the way 99.9% of all the handloaders test loads, any given powder may well "like" a particular primer (or powder, for that matter)....'cause that primer (or powder) just happens to be the one that produced some small groups. No wonder there's at least several dozen (hundred?) favorite loads for a given bullet in a given cartridge case.
