Re: 300wm 180gr nosler ballistic tip

Really like the 300 Win Mag

180 gr Nosler AB
76.0 of RL 22

Used a lot of IMR 4350 over the years with 180's in the 300 WM

    71.0 grains of h4350. Chronos @ 3240, 26" barrel. Less than 1" groups.

My velocity seems high. I want to chrono it again.

RL22, RL25, H1000 and Retumbo are my picks this week.
As stated, 75gr of RL22 is good, 81gr of RL25 is excellent, 80gr of H1000 is OK and Retumbo is untested in my rifles, but have heard good things about it.
The 180gr BT is a very accurate bullet and is really good at long range.

    Cheers.

I have been using H4831 (72 gr) and achieving consistent muzzle velocities of 3100 fps.

+1 On that. I also used H4831 but only 70gr with a 180 gr Nosler and put 3 rounds inside of a dime at 100 yards from a rest. Didn't chrono it though.

IMR4831 and range work can produce small groups.

If you're chasing the highest velocity, all the Ramshot Magnum you can get in the case with a Fed215 is your ticket.

If you want the best velocity and accuracy look to Imr7828 and Magpro with CCI250s.

If you want the most accuracy look to Imr4350, H4350, H4831, and Ramshot Hunter with a Fed210M or CCI BR2.
