Anybody got a favorite long range varmint load for the .300 Win Mag? Thinkin' 110 grain up to 130 grain. We're moving into Gray Digger season here and have decided to do some long range shooting on the huge clear cuts in the western Cascades.
I have found the following load ,out of my Ruger 77 mark 2 stainless standerd barrel to be accurate and deadly out to 400 yrds........ Nosler 125 GR ballistic tip over 73.9 GRS of IMR 4350, REM case WIN standerd large rifle primer

DB, when I shoot varmints with my 300 I simply use the same bullet and load that I hunt big game with and this give me practice with myy hunting load and make no mistake it is deadly to as far as you can hit one....Which is PDF (pretty dam far) out to 1K or so.......
range it,check the wind, dial in correction, aim and only one shot
