Re: 300 WM RE-22 vs H4350

I see the new Nosler #7 H1000 is now listed as one of the most accurate powders replacing RL22 from #5, #6. I might need to buy some. Don't rule out IMR4350 either with 165-180's.

i,ve used both have a great load for a 308 norma with h4350. used rl 22 in the 300 win with great results. another powder, to look at is ramshot's magnum. use it only now, in my larger cailibers. very good in different temps, for a ball powder. check barnes web site, tested this powder, and a few others for temp, and it did the best, along with h1000.

ill throw a diffent one in the battle. My go to powder for 150s and 165s in the 300 win mag as allways been re19. It seems to win the accuracy battle in every gun ive tried it in. It works with the 180s well too but re22 or 4831 will net you another 50 fps if that matters to you. Ive allways said that if you take a 300 win and load it with a top end load of re19 and a 165 nos bt or a 165 sieara prohunter using a fed match mag primer and it doesnt shoot moa with one of those two loads the gun probably will never shoot moa.

    +1

everyone forgets about rl19 unless they are throwing heavy stuff in an '06 type case or feeding a 338. rl19 is a good powder.

I use r-22 and nosler 180g bt's. Have not seen any temp variations yet but I have yet to shoot it this winter(summer time load) load was worked up at 88* coldest I've shot it is 54* no speed change or point of impact out to 500. ill try to shoot it this week and see how it shoots. Temps are 34-18* here
