Next week I will shoot the next batch and get some fps readings. And I am well aware of the different blends for different cartridges and the superformance powder for the reloader is not for the 300 win mag. So my question is am I the only one to try this or is there some type of data out there that I just have not found? If any of you have tried this how did it work out for you.
Hodgdon is using Superformance in the 300wsm with mid weight bullets, but they aren't using it in the 300win (long). Work up to similar velocity to other powders in the class and you'll be good to go. Superformance is a rather good powder; I've been loading it in my 25wssm for a few years.
I'd have probably tried it myself in the 300win but with a couple of hundred rl22 loads already loaded I have no reason to.
