300 Win Mag

Ok I have been reloading my own bullets for 15 years. At the range today a guy was there with a Chronograph. First time I shoot through one. 10 feet out on a four bullet average it was 3194....Is this good or do I need more beans? I use IMR 4350 Swift Scirroco 150 grain bullet.

Well just to compair im getting 3030fps from a 27" barrel and a 185g bullet with H1000. I think you can go alot faster. That said depending on what your shooting and how your groups are there may be no reason to switch anything at all.

Shooting a Remington BDL 26" barrel. Groupin 3/4''at 100 yards 1 1/4" at 200 yards..

I get that with 74.0grs of IMR-4350 and a 165gr bullet.

I use 69.5 grams of IMR 4350...

Nosler #6 list 74.0gn of IMR4350 w/Fed 215 primers as max load. Velocity listed is 3420fps from a 24" barrel.
I have been shooting the 190gn SMK from a 26" barrel, using 80.5gn of H1000 and a CCI 250 primer, I'm getting average of 3145fps and .4-.5".
More recently I tried the 178gn A-Max over 73.0gn of IMR4831 with 250's and I'm avergage 3238fps and accuracy is running 1/2" and below. Still evaluating this bullet.

It's slow but as stated depending on what you use it for it might be perfect. My light bullet load ran a 165 NBT 3380 with R-22

What is your load and what Crony was it ? I've seen plenty of Craonys off by a 100 fps
