300 win mag 185 bergers vld hunting

any tips for reloding woud be appreciated i have 185 bergers and im gonna use H1000 powder and i have winchester brass im wanting to know how much grain to use per bullet and the seating depth for the bullet in the brass or COAL i guess i can call it im sure its different in every rifle but mine is a 300 win mag model seventy sporter

Read the essay in my signature line and do a seating depth test. I run Nosler brass and 81g of H1000. Win brass is not nosler so start at least 5 grains below this its max!

I use 74.5 gn h1000 in my win brass @ 3.535 o.a.l. With a case lenth if 2.610 using 190 smk's. Hope this helps.

And ya this isn't max load but I'm getting .5" groups at 300 yrds so I stopped.

I use 76 gr. H-1000, right at the lands, 3.93(ogive tool) if I remember right-3.60 ish oal. 185 berger, 215 primer. 2980ish fps, 5 shot group- .25"@200yrds

I use 79 grains h1000 with the 190 Bergers in mine.

thanks for the info guys i have another question about primers to use i bought cci 250 im not sure what the best would be i can always get different ones if i have too

Try them out if they don't work try something else, like the cci br2 that's what I use with that bullet and h1000.
