Dont overlook the 190 SMK. I think you will find it will blow the doors off the 180 SMK at 1000 yards. More the desighn than the 10 more grains.

Long range shooting is a process that ends with a result. Once you start to focus on the result (where the shot goes, how big the group is, what your buck will score, what your match score is, what place you are in...) then you loose the capacity to focus on the process.

Recommend you actually shoot both the 220 and 240s and pick the best. Don't forget the custom VLDs also.

Hey sewwhat89,
Can you run the 168 gr HPBT and the 180........and let me know what your program says about those.
thx
Jordan

I think I will be shooting both of the 220 and 240gr, to seed how my gun reacts out at long range.
thx for all of the great ideas and responses, keep them coming.

The 200MK's have the rep of being the worst 30cal Mk in the line.

[/ QUOTE ]

That should read "The 180MK's".

Personaly for under 1,200yds I like the 220's for the faster velocity, and better terminal performance at those ranges, but I would shoot which ever one shot better.

I used the 175smk because I don't like the 180 smk.

Re: .300 RUM reloading ?????\'s

You may want to try the 210 Bergers. I have read good stuff about them. @1000 yds 22.3 MOA drop with 5.3 drift.

BTW, the 175 smk I used the bc determined by my own experience from shooting my 300 SAUM. Its a little better than what Sierra posts fwiw.

Re: .300 RUM reloading ?????\'s

Well if your looking at the under 200gr range, try the 178gr Amax. You will like.
