Federal makes brass for the 300 RUM a few of my shooting friends have tried it and its pretty good.

I've had excellent luck w/ the nosler brass. The closet brass I can compare it to would be lapua. I don't think it's softer than remington not even close. I get 3 more firings out of it than the remington which more than makes up for the cost.
