280 rem

Is fed 210 primers suffecient for the 280 or do you need mag primers. I'm loading some 57gr of RL 19 with 140gr BT and all I have is 210's can't find any 215's. I figured it would be ok if under 80gr's of powder.

I think you'd be just fine with the non-mag primers.

Things got really better when I switched from mag to nonmag primers and RL-22 powder.

I've never run mag primers with R-19. I shoot 59 grains of R-19 with several 140s and 139s. When I worked up some loads with R-22 and N165, I tried both mag and non mag. Shooting 60.5-61.5 grs of either powder the primers made little difference in velocity and accuracy. I was using WLR and WLRM primers. I think I like mag primers for powder charges over 60grs in the .280, but they are not a must.

Ditto on non-mag primers. 210M's, 9 1/2 rem's, or CCI 250 BR2's are my favorites. I start using mag primers at around 65 gr of 4831 (or slower) powder. Nothing scientific, just works for me.
