I just finished loading up some 150 VLD's I went with COL of 2.83:
150 VLD .277
federal 215 primers
H 4350 56.3g, 56.5g, 56.7g, 56.9g
150 VLD .277
CCI mag primers
RL22 63.5g, 64g, 64.5g, 65g
I cant wait to get to the range and see how these will group. I was going off of what Roundss is using for the H4350. I have seen people using up to 61g of IMR 4350 but I will wait and see how these powders work first. Keep the info coming guys the more we help the better this caliber will be!!!

So I finally got out to the range. I shot up the H4350 rounds I had loaded and was not happy at all with the groups. After letting the barrel cool for an hour I started shooting the RL22. The 63.5 left me with a group of about 3" at 100yds.. Then I shot the 64g and the group shrunk to 2".

So its moving in the right direction. The tightest group I got was 3/4" at 100yds 2880 avg FPS, with 65g RL22 Rounds right to the lands. I am loading some up this week and I am going to push the envelope.

I plan on loading 65g, 66g, 67g, 68G again using the OAL of 2.83 and the Berger VLD's. I will keep everyone informed when I get back from the range.

Re: 270 Wsm

OK so I got back from shooting the RL22 rounds at 65.5, 66, 66.5, 67, 68, 69.
The best groups were with the 66 grain I was seeing around 3250-3260 on the chrono and The group was the best yet at .605

When I got up to 68, 69g I was having a little trouble lifting the bolt so I didnt push it. Besides it seems my rifle like less than the ragged edge anyway.

PS. the wind was blowing full value at 10-15 with gusts at 25.
I am sure on a calm day I can tighten these groups up a bunch!
