270 win & h1000

Anybody using H1000 in 270 WIN? I'm shooting 140 gr Accubonds, and thought I may want to try some.

Way too slow of a powder. . .

If you're milking the Nth degree of velocity Norma MRP, N205, RE-22 and some are using 7828ssc with 150 class bullets.

If not pushing but looking for moderate range accuracy, any of the above powders loaded down a bit and 4831 around the 60 grain mark should produce accuracy.

I'm a velocity hawg with the little winnie pushing the 140s @ 3200 with Reloder 22, in the summer time. Temp drops it a bit in winter. But it shoots very well at that velocity and good for out to 800 yards or so.

It's(h1000) a bit slow in the 270, but you can't go over pressure with it to easily either. My brother had a Retumbo load for his 270 win and I currently have a wc872 load for mine, and both shoot very well, albeit at slightly lower velocities.
The previous poster must have a fast rifle as I've not gotten over 3100 fps with any hunting weight (130 gr. or more) bullet in either of my 270's; or he's on borrowed time before he loosenes his headspace up. Either way, 3K on a 140 is about it unless you have a wsm.
I've used I 7828 with 140's in mine with good results.
