.260Rem Load data required...

In the next few weeks I hope to have my .260Rem up and running..

Can anybody recommend any loads? I will be starting with sme Hornady 129 Interlocks, but will try other bullets if these don't group..

Power wise I have RL15, Varget,BL-C(2) TAC and H414 to hand and would like to stick with one of those if possible.

I intend using the rifle primarily for deer in the Whitetail size range plussome informal long range plinking..

Thanks in advance,

Peter

I too am waiting on a 260 rem few weeks I think. I have it in mind to use H4350 or R19 as they seem to be the best.

I plan to use Berger bullets in the 140 to 130g weights

H414 is very close to H4350 which is a great powder for the .260 so that might be a good start.

Re: .260Rem Load data required...

I just put a 260 Douglas long chambered factory blued barrel on a Mauser.
In two trips to the range with H4350 and IMR4895, 100 gr, 129 gr, and 140 gr bullets.
I have Copper fouling on the blued riflings.
It drifted from 1 moa to 4 moa over 35 shots of getting more fouled.
I got the Copper out with KG-12.
Someone else tells me I need to wear the bluing off the riflings with more shooting.

I use and whitetail hunt with 100 grain nosler bt, 50 grains of Win. 760 or H-414 is the same. Dropped 8 deer in there tracks all you need.

I, like mike33, have had good success with H414 and 100gn NBT's. Same with H4350 and 120gn NBT's....JohnnyK.
