Re: 257 weatherby load

What kind of OAL you getting???
Just measured mine and it was 3.343 inches to tip of bullet. That was to lands by feel.
Just curious as I've never loaded for this one.

My .257 wby likes a jumpe, with 3.230 being the OAL for the Accubonds, and (I believe off the top of my head) 3.295 with the 100 TTSX.

I have killed anything with the Accubond yet, but that is what I will be using this year. I have killed or seen killed a couple dozen animals with the 100 TTSX and it has been amazing.

I shoot 73 Gr. R25 with the 100 TTSX and
    68 Gr. R22 with the 110 Accubond.

70gr of H1000, Fed 215 primer, with a Berger 115 VLD or a 110 NAB seated to about 0.005" short of magazine length. Weatherby has lots of freebore anyway, so seating depth will only help to adjust how much or how little case pressure you create. Neck tension also helps determine how much or how little pressure you create.

Muddrunner what velocity are you get and what accuracy. I just got mine 257 back from Bob Hart. And working up loads now with 115 bt and h1000. Hopefully I can get this thing cloverleafing.
