Re: 22-250 rem

Not sure what the problem is but according to Hodgdon you are already over the maximum recommended charge for a 50gr bullet. Are you sure of the charge weight in those cases?

For reference, I took this off Hodgdon's web site:

22-250 Rem

50 GR. SIE SP
COL: 2.350"

H4350 42.0 3579 48,900 CUP
H414 40.0 3765 48,600 CUP
H380 41.0 3742 45,300 CUP
VARGET 37.5 3834 50,400 CUP
BL-C(2) 34.5 3740 48,400 CUP
H335 34.5 3753 48,700 CUP
H4895 36.5 3827 50,200 CUP
BENCHMARK 36.0 3903 51,400 CUP
H322 32.0 3628 50,300 CUP

Re: 22-250 rem

Yes I started with 35.0 gr and went to 36.0gr and shoot across the chornograph and was slow then I went to 40gr with no improvment. Then I switched to benchmark with no improvment and was little over loaded blew the primer out at 40gr of powder. The dies I am using a rcbs comp. dies is this the problem
