    Re: 22.243 win

Thanks again for all the input. I have almost 40 rounds down the barrel in the break in process. I am shooting 80 gr. AMAX over 44.0 IMR 7828 SSC. Mine is running a little slow with an avg. of 3263. This load is very accurate. I was told that the barrel will get faster after it is completely broke in. We will see.

    Re: 22.243 win

Another update to this old thread.

The load for this season is 45.5 H4831SC.. Still using 80 gr. AMAX and FED 210M primers. The load avg. is 3420 with a SD of 15 fps.. This load shoots 1/2 MOA..

This load seems to be on the high end but there are no definitive signs of pressure yet.

Send a pm to John Burns. He guns a 22-243 and I'm sure he'll be using the Bergers.

    I have a fluted, suppressed 26" 1-7 Trueflite on a Tika 595 it shoots the 90gr Bergers at 31-3150fps with H1000, Lapua brass & 215 primers.

It is very accurate, I have shot rabbits out to 900 yards so far

It could be faster with H4831sc, but I have the H1000 for my Edge, Lapua & 260 as well, so it's easier

The only small problem is when the barrel gets hot the projos explode on route to the intended target, something to do with heat, physics & approx 450000 rpm
As soon as the barrel cools off a bit it's all go again
