190grn bergers/300wm

Was gettin clover leafs at 100 yards with 168grn Bergers using h1000, switched to 190grn bergers and accuracy went south using h1000 again and even after a ladder test for the bergers. Any thoughts here?

You may have to try a different seating depth or possibly the 185 or 210 bergers. My 300wm loves 185's and tolerates 210's. You may also try a different powder such as RL 22.

What was your charge weight? H-1000 might be to slow. The reason I say that, 74.6gns is 107% fill ratio with 53100 psi., and 97.5% powder burned. RL-22, IMR 7828 SSC or H 4831 SC might be a better choice.

i am just starting with the 190's in my hunting 300 WM. I loaded up some with rl-22, some with h-1000 and some with magnum powder. at first just 3 different powder charges with each powder 4 shots so I get an idea of speeds the 2 that do best i will try and tweak. I will post what I get. I shoot the 210's in my long Range 300 with h-1000 and it is great but I too am thinking the 190's may do better with something else. if those 3 don't look great I will try h-4831 and imr 7828.

I've used h1000 with 190 grain pills in a 300win before; worked great. I'd use rl22 today if I needed to go there.

I'd shoot the 168's personally. I like 165 hornady bullets with rl22 in my 300 win. Shoots so great I've not played with loads for that one for over ten years.

I would hang in there with the h1000 and switch to a heavier berger. That powder really does well with the extra heavy bullets. And while I use the 190 in my wsm, If I had to do load development over from scratch, even in the short mag I would go heavier. In the standard mag I would go heavier without even considering it.
