155, 168 amax, 308 win

Hey guys, yeah I saw the post on the 168's below! I have ordered a box of the 155's and the 168 amax's to try in my 308. Will the old "45 grains of varget" load work with these pills? Do you think these will make it to 1000? I will mostly be using these for deer but I was wondering about their ability to make out to 1000 when I want to punch some paper. I know the 178 would be better to 1000, but I wanted to try for a little more velocity with those smaller bullets. The 175 mk load is incredible but I thought I would try a more explosive bullet for deer.

Over the past couple of years we have killed a fair number of deer with both the 155 and 168 AMAX bullets. Longest was a recent kill at 830 by one of my freinds. I have made some very clean kills with the 155's, they hit hard out past 500 yards..
