Greenhorn, a multiplex level question. The 277 bullet would fly flatter with the same velocity, BUT the 06 might squeeze out a higher velocity since the 130 is light for the caliber. Higher velocity could help flatten out the trajectory, BUT now you are driving a light bullet MUCH faster than it was designed for by the maker. Maybe, the 139 30 cal Barnes TSX might be OK at higher velocities (talk to Barnes. I understand that some folks are driving the 130 TSX fast in 308s). Usually, heavier weight bullets will be flatter at long range in 30 cal. Look at the 165 gr bullets and heavier for both energy & trajectory.
