Setting up a drop chart

What ranges should I set my drop chart up for? For example should I set up 100, 200, 300, 350, 400, 450 and so on out to a 1000?

google on "pointblank.exe" if you don't have a computer program. Put in the numbers for you load and shooting conditions. It will automatically create a drop chart.

Then shoot at several ranges to verify what the computer says. Ranges like 300, 500 and 600 will probably be sufficient but one never knows until you try it. The more distances the better but it gets to be a lot of work.

I like setting them up every 20 yards.
0,20,40,60........820,840,860,880 and so on.
If I range a distance let's say 510 yards, it's easy to
interpolate between 500 and 520.
Then, like Roy in Idaho says, verify by shooting, that your
drop chart matches your bullet drop.

Note you need to "confirm" exactly what your scope clicks are and not what they say otherwise your chart will be off.

Test your scopes clicks at 100 yards over a measured distance on a target to determine exactly what distance 100 clicks moves to determine click value.

Same thing for BC and MV, so a chrono is required.
