Marvel Mystery Oil ??????

Hi and thanks in advance. I wasn't sure where to post this:

I read a few threads about the use of Marvel Mystery Oil to clean and protect a Rifle Barrel. I also heard of mixing it with STP etc. Can anyone shed some light on this, how its used, mixed etc?

Thanks

Frank D

Can't believe you havn't had any replies on this yet! The only use that I have had with MMO is a dirrect replacement for gun oil. An old timer showed me what he used years ago, and it works.

Re: Marvel Mystery Oil ??????

Greetings seekers of the single hole,
Yes I have and do use MMO as a replacment for Kroil. It looks the same smells the same and cleans the same. I like to mix it with J+B to the consistance of honey for general cleaning and barrel break in.
