How to build a LR gun?

Hi,
Well, the gun came in Wed.
The barrel is, indeed, a medium sporter at 26",with a .710 muzzle. Thursday, I called Fred at SS Supply and ordered a 27" bbl with a .820 muzzle, that should be here in a week or so.
The rifle is nice, but won't be shot in it's current configuration. It uses the standard long action with the bottom cut out to clear the RUM case, so I can use my Choate sniper stock. I am definately going to use a one piece scope base to help stiffen up the action, and not let it go into the scope.
What do you guys think so far?
