Mine did that too, it is from the spring loaded pin that helps on the extraction and is marking the case because of the increased pressure from the powder basically detonating instead of burning. Sure sounds like what my gun did. larry

If you are talking about the round mark on the head of the case this is head stamping caused by the ejector. It is common with 700's and can be a sign of pressure as loads get hot. You need to bring it to a smith that can trouble shoot it. It could be several things that will be easy to eliminate If you know what you are looking at.

If you can post a picture of the case head we can probably diagnose the problem.

If it is the ejector that is marking the brass , then you have an ammo problem.
