help with rifle choice?

I havent posted in a while.. but a friend wants to get into long range shooting/hunting... he wants to keep his total package around 2 grand... he's been looking at the remmy 700, Tikka T5, Savage 10FCP, and Kimber.

can anyone give advice on what factory rifle would be his best option... .308 cal and max range would probably be 500-600yds for deer here in PA.

a rem 700 vs ,vssf, r-5 are all very similiar. i would get one of those if limited to 308. or i would get a sendero in 25-06, 264 or 7mm rem.

I like rem 700 but for out of the box accuracy the savage model 10 would be a great choice. I had a model 10 in .308 win that would shoot 2.5 to 3 in groups at 300 yds with no additional work and that was pre accutrigger.
