Tyler,
First of all, I am one of the odd ducks here at long range hunting.
This 7mm Dakota is chambered in a Remington XP-100 center-grip specialty handgun. Kirby Allen (AKA "fiftydriver") put this jewell together for me.
This has a barrel length just a smidget under 18", with a Lilja 1-7 Twist. A 1-7 is not required for the 200 WC, but we did not know that for sure back in the day when it was put together. BC for my MV is .800

It does real good accuracy wise and on game.

.800 wow. So in a rifle it would probably be .810ish. I doubt a 1-9" would stabilize it, 1-8" maybe? With a 26 or 28 inch barrel could I get 2900 fps?

Tyler,
I know for a fact the 1-8 will stabilize the 200WC.
Contact Kirby or several of the guys here you use the 200 WC's, and they can get a solid answer.
FWIW Once Richard comes out with the Aluminum Tipped WC's in 7mm a faster twist will be required and of course you will get a higher BC to boot.

What aluminum tipped weights is he coming out with? A standard 1-9" twist might stabilize a 160 with a tip and have an insane BC, plus higher velocity.

Of course I probably am wrong, I don't even have the STW barrel yet and am just dreaming. Some tipped 6mm bullets for the 6mm AI barrel I have would be sweet. 100 grainers with a BC over .6 at 3200 fps.

Not sure on the weights, but I imagine it will be in the heavier for the caliber, which really shines at the longer distances.
FWIW the Aum tips will be more expensive also. but for specialized tasks the should be the "cats meow!"

Holy cow more than 50 cents a bullet...while I'm in high school I will not be able to justify that cost, maybe when I get older.
