Yeah, I see I must have been looking at the 250g's BC. Wow. It's impressive either way. Maybe one of these days I will have the time, money, help and opportunity to try my hand at it.

Old Crane you too can shoot down range you just need the right equipment and a lot of practical practice, don't cut yourself short a positive attitude will go a long way.Best of luck in your endeavors!!

Most of us are using large cased 338 with 300g SMK bullets. I am shooting an IMP 338 Lapua. I have been considering a 338/408. I have a light gun #17 with a 30" barrel and a HG # 60 with a 32" barrel that will shoot the 300g bullets at 3050 FPS and has over 1560 FPE at 2000 yards we hunt at 10000 feet. We took a mule deer with the LG this year at 2031 yards. A friend of mine shoots a 338/416 IMP with a 45" barrel and is getting 3350 fps out of his gun it is over 100 pounds at 2000 yards he has around 1983 FPE.
