308 Load

[ I have had great luck with 165 gr Hornady SST's in my Rem 700 308. At 2700+ FPS I get 2 1/2' groups at 500 yards and about 1200 fp energy. The SST's are very accurate and have a higher BC(.495) than the Ballistic Tips.

A friend of mine has been useing Berger 155's in his 308 at 2800 fps and I have been impressed the damage these bullets are doing out to 500 yards.

Did that BC come from your personal tests? I am asking because Hornady says
the BC is .447 in my 2007 catalog whereas Nosler claims .475 for the 165 BT. I am going to try the new 168BT, the BC for them is .490 I understand.
