6.5/.284 bullet drop

I just built a 6.5/284 and am wanting to shoot 500 yards for the first time.using a 139 gr. lapua at 2800-2850 in a 26 inch barrel.how many clicks on my 8.5x25x50mm leupold should it take in elevation to get me close at 500 yards. 1/8 inch clicks with a 2" high zero at 100? thanks timbo

    I bet they are 1/4moa clicks

    6moa above your current 2"high at 100 ought to put you on paper at 500yds. that is 24 1/4moa and 48 1/8moa clicks.

    I am sure someone else will come along and have different data. As far as the math goes I think its correct but pelase if it isnt then step in and correct me.

    33.5" = 6.4MOA if i calc right...

    Rim -- my 142's at 2930+ take 7.5MOA to get from 100-500 at Mifflin.
