20moa vs. 15 moa

im new to the long range shooting and was trying to determine how much difference there would be at 1000 yds with a 15 moa versus a 20 moa. im not to good at math, so figuting it out on my own is kinda out of the question. thanks, jason

I've changed my answer twice now and now you have me confused.

I'm sticking with 52.35"

Re: 20moa vs. 15 moa

1 moa is technically 1.047" @ 100 yards

so 1 moa at 1000= 10.470"

10.470 x 5 moa = 52.350"

MagMan is absolutely correct.

5 MOA even!

Long range shooting is a process that ends with a result. Once you start to focus on the result (how bad your last shot was, how big the group is going to be, what your buck will score, what your match score is, what place you are in...) then you loose the capacity to focus on the process.

At 100 or 1000?

You laugh but I changed mine from 52.35" to 10.47" and back after I reread his question about 3 times.

Re: 20moa vs. 15 moa

In all seriousness, 5MOA at 1K = as posted already. 52.35" at 1K.

Like you said, it depends on how you interperet the question.
