I have a customized Tikka T3 varmint tactical that shoots amazingly. I just got a new rifle in .260 AI and don't need the .308 anymore. I have had everything upgraded so there are no plastic parts. It has the tactical bolt knob, aluminum bolt shroud, CDI bottom metal, AICS 5 round mag, custom paint job, and trigger tuned to around 2.5 lbs. I have killed rock chucks out to 600 yards. I can't find any further away than that. It is topped with a Leupold VX-3 6.5-20x40 with the 30mm tube set in DNZ one piece rings/bases. It has also had the M1 turrets installed for windage and elevation. With my drop chart and the scope set up the way it is I can shoot out to 1250 yards. I have over 400 pieces of brass and can give you the recipe I use for long range. I use the 155 grain Berger VLD Hunting bullets for long range but I haven't found anything that won't shoot well out of this gun. Everything from 110 grain hollowpoints to the 168 grain Custom competition bullets. The first picture is how it looks now with the upgraded bottom metal. The second two were taken a month ago before the upgrade.
Looking to sell or trade for something different. I have looked a lot at the .338's. Especially the Edge, but could be open to other rifles as well. I do a need a varmint rifle. I wouldn't be opposed to some high end optics either. Could use a new spotting scope, a leica 1600 rangefinder, or some nice binos. Let me know what you have. Asking price is $2300 for the whole setup or minus $800 without the scope.
