WTS: Like New 280 Rem.

Here is a like new, Ruger Hawkeye in 280 Rem. Less than 30 rounds down the pipe. Put some 100gr sierras down the tube for fun and they grouped VERY well. Whacked one coyote from the back porch at 225 yards. Devastating... have not tried any other bullet weights. Action is very smooth. The stock and bluing is extremely nice. Lightweight too! Rings and box included, scope is not. $625 shipped to your FFL in the lower 48.

Nice rifle. I believe it is actually a standard MKII and not a Hawkeye though. The MKII is gloss and the Hawkeye is matte (stock and metal).

Nope, it's the Hawkeye. They switched from the matte finish back to a satin/gloss a while back. This also has the steel floorplate, not the painted "pot metal" of the MKII.
