Been working on the same problem for a buddy of mines son. We both decided a 270 bolt action with managed recoil load for a year or two then full power loads from then on. Good luck

Looking back I wish I would have gotten a Remington 700 so I could have built it as time let me.

I have an almost new (only fired 10 shots with it) Marlin Model X7S Stainless Steel 7mm/08 I can sell you for a great price. I bought it for my daughter and she changed her mind and did not want to shoot it.
