Ive been painting for over ten years and been painting stocks for quite a while.This is Mirage paint from DuPont.I will paint your BR stock or hunting stocks for less than most other stock painters.email me for photos.I also do camo paint. mikie27@mail.com

Can the paint have a mate finish and still look like it changes color or does it need to be gloss? Looks great! [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img]

I dont believe this paint will get the matte look, its "kinda" shiny without clearcoat.

Lefty, you could put a matte clear coat over it but it wouldn't look right for flop paints as Mike27 used reflect light to get the flip effect (the pearl is a triganal planer cut pearl). Matte finishes do not let 100% of the light to get through nor will it reflect the light.
