Shilen 30BR benchrest rifle

I know this isn't a long range rifle, but thought I would post here in case any of you are in the benchrest arena.

Selling a Shilen DGA action #831 benchrest rifle with rings (unsure of make). Do not know the round count, but bore looks very good and I would guess round count is fairly low.

Very beautiful stock that does have a couple of nicks in finish, which I tried to show in the pictures.

Along with the rifle are a set of Redding 6BR dies that have been reamed for this rifle and includes a .326 bushing.

29 fired Lapua cases and 35 loaded Lapua cases.

Asking $1750 shipped with 3 day inspection.

Feel free to call with questions. 660-541-5103

Re: Shilen 30BR benchrest rifle

Rings look like Kelbly's, one of the best out there for Benchrest. As far as the 30 BR, it is a great cartridge extremely accurate (on par with the 6PPC) and tune window is wide. 34.5gr H-4198 is the go to load w/ 115 gr bullets. I have shot and beat the snot out of the PPC at 300 yds with mine. My load was different though.
DGA =Damn Good Action
Does it have the Jewell Trigger?

Re: Shilen 30BR benchrest rifle

I did know what the DGA stood for, very funny. Proves someone has a sense of humor!
Thanks for letting me know about the rings, it is a very nice rifle.

I assumed the trigger was Shilen, how would I know if it is Shilen or Jewell?

Not a benchrest guy, just trying to help a friend sell his rifle.

Re: Shilen 30BR benchrest rifle

Good to know. If that is indeed the case, than it is definitely a jewell. It does break at 2 oz.
