Remington 700 338 RUM
This rifle is based on a trued Rem 700 long action. The barrel is a 26” Rock Creek cut rifled barrel, carbon wrapped by ABS and chambered in 338 Remington Ultra Mag. The rifle comes with a choice of stocks:
#1) Lone Wolf Kevlar composite stock, Limb Saver recoil pad and HS precision detachable magazine.
#2) Accurate Innovations fancy walnut stock with a blind ADL type magazine. These stocks have a full length aluminum bedding block inside the wood, giving good looks and accuracy in the same package.
The trigger is a tuned Rem 700 factory and the barrel has a custom built muzzle brake. The rifle has been shot for load development and barrel break-in, and is producing consistent sub MOA groups with the following bullets: 250 gr Barnes TSX, 185 gr Barnes TSX, 160 gr Barnes X, 180 grain Nosler Accubonds.
It is pushing 250 grain Barnes at 3075 FPS and the 160 Barnes at 3500 FPS. It weighs (with out scope):
8 lbs , 6 oz in the Lone Wolf and 9 lbs, 7 oz in the wood stock. The rifle can be purchased with both stocks for an additional $250.
