Minox MD62 spotting scope.

This could go in long range optics or here but since I'm not asking any questions I'll plunk it here.

Just a simple field report. This last Sunday we did some 300 yard shooting and I am happy to say the Minox did a great job. I was able to resolve 7mm bullet holes in white paper even with a fair amount of mirage. There was enough mirage that we physically checked each shot for a ladder test but when my friend wanted to see his groups at 300 we were able to see each hit on a clean sheet.

Oh, and this was at the minimum power of 25x. I didn't try it but I would imagine that higher power would cause the mirage to wash out the image to where the holes would disappear. But on a no mirage day I believe we would be able to see the holes at 400+ yards. If I do it I'll let you know.
