Measuring efficacy of solvents?

Has anyone ever fired a fixed amount of rounds through a particular rifle then weighed a soaked patch before and after passing it through the fouled barrel? If you vary the solvent soaked patch the weight difference will be indicative of the efficacy of the solvent.
