Mcmillan Edge or Manners MCS-SL??
For a light weight gun with a #3 sporter contour, which of these would be preferred? Looking at these stocks for a 6.5-06, rem long action.
Do these need to be bedded also? I think the mcmillan has pillars already?
this would probably be setup with a kydex cheek piece and blind mag box to save weight, along with talley or dednutz mounts and a 40mm scope.
Can anyone recommend a dealer with inventory of either of these stocks??

Re: Mcmillan Edge or Manners MCS-SL??
I am pretty sure Manners has pillers to and the wait for a manners is about a month and a half. at least thats what it took to get mine. I would go with the MCST1 if I was loking for extra light weight.
They bothe HAVE to be bedded for sure.

Re: Mcmillan Edge or Manners MCS-SL??
got a response today from high tech specialties, another lightweight stock builder. A kydex cheek piece will not work with their stock, although he did not expand on "why".
Will a kydex cheek piece be okay on a mcmillan edge or manners mcs-sl??

Re: Mcmillan Edge or Manners MCS-SL??
spoke with the mcmillan folks this morning, they won't put a saddle (kydex type) cheek piece on a hunters edge stock. Not enough meat in that area apparently...
