Just installed a neat little device called the Mag-XTendermade by Arms Tech. It replaces the factory floor plate on Remington 700 short actions and increases internal cartridge capacity from 6+1 to 9+1 in .223 caliber can't remember what capacity for the 308win. Its basically a miniture drop box about 3/4" of an inch deeper than the factory floor plate to hold the extra rounds. The box is constructed of some type of glass embeded molded plastic. Seems quite durable. Cartrides feed great in my VSSF .223 I paid $19.00 plus shipping. Thought you guys might like this product without having to shell out the money for a detachable box magazine.
