which KESTREL to use ?

Have a chance to buy one at a good price but is the 3000 model all I need or should I spend a little more and get the 3500?

what one should I buy?
thanks

All you need is temp and station pressure. The humidity is not really an issue. I don't think it would cause a miss @ any range. I've got a 2500 and am extremely happy w/it.

Re: which KESTREL to use ?

I have a 3500 and I like it, but there is a whole bunch of info you never use. If I could pick just the things I wanted, give me wind speed, temp, elevation, & bar pres. I agree that humidity makes very little difference. We of course all know that doping the wind correctly is the biggest hurdle.

I have never done comparisons myself. Steve and I both have the 3500 and really like them.

I just got the 4000, 50% off. It is way more than you need. But also fun to play with.
