Bipod or shooting sticks?

When you go hunting which do you use? And which brand and model?

Re: Bipod or shooting sticks?

I use bipods out west and shooting sticks here in WI.
I've used Harris and will be trying a pair of Rock Creek bipods this year.
Shooting sticks are ones made by a guy from Specialty pistols using wood dowels.

Re: Bipod or shooting sticks?

All my guns have a Harris swivel 6-9" bipod w/leg notches and w/PodLoc on them. I also take along either a Stoney Point bipod or tripod w/trailer arm. There are just times when the bipod is too short. If I know the terrain dictates that the 6-9" is too short then a 9-13" version of the same model goes on.

Re: Bipod or shooting sticks?

I use shooting sticks maybe 5% of the time.
Rest of the time is Harris Bi-pod BR version with notched legs and pod-lok or the next size up Harris bi-pod.
