Nice looking rifle. The 300Wby is my favorite 300 mag. In my factory 26" barrel using 200 grain Accubonds I get an easy honest 3100+ with 83 grains of IMR-7828SSC in Wby brass and CCI-250 primers. I've been as high as 3175 but I backed it down to 3100 even for brass life. Some of my brass is at 20 times now. It will all need annealed now as it has lost all neck tension.

Don't even consider cutting that barrel down. With the slow powders 1" makes a pretty big difference. I wouldn't be surprised if that 3 groove barrel didn't go 3200fps with the Accubonds. You did get at least the factory amount of freebore I hope. I like the looks of that contour. Hopefully I will get another thousand rounds down my barrel this year and will have Kirby replace my Accumark barrel with a 30" rig similar to yours.

Thanks for posting the photo getsmart. It's a nice looking action for sure!

How do you find the bolt angling back like that? Is it nice and comfortable?

Soooooooo, how does she shoot? What kind of speed and how is the recoil? I'm thinking you should be able to spot your own shots.

As far as the color blend, the one on their website is 80%black, 10%white, 10%grey. I know because thats whats Kirby told me when I ordered mine with that exact blend.
