I finally had a chance to shoot my 168gr barnes tipped triple shock load through the cronograph and the average speed was about 2950fps. I will load up about another 100 of these rounds just to have ammo on hand, but once I get my distances figured out, these will not be my target shooting load since they are expensive.

just curious, did you see any difference in accuracy with the 3 different weight txs bullets?
also what's the BC of those bullets? can't find it on their site.

I haven't done any real handload accuracy testing until last weekend. The Barnes Tipped Triple Shocks they were just loaded up to check for pressure and then loaded at the highest safe level.
Last weekend I tried out the sierra matchkings in .5gr incriments of IMR 4350. Between 53.5 and 54.5 is where I was getting the best accuracy. These loads had all bullet holes touching at 100 yards. When I tried the loads with more powder in them the groups started to open up more and more.
I am very impressed with this rifle. At the range I go to there are guys there with thousands of dollars in their rifles and and more invested into their ego's. There's nothing wrong with spending money like that on guns, but some act insulted when you hit the same 1,000 target that they are shooting at.
I wish every guy had a rifle they liked as much as I like mine.

I e-mailed them about the BC & they still don't know, which was surprising to me.

The bullets have been out for a while now. I don't know how they could sell a product and not know what they're producing. I'd guess there is some kind of reason why they aren't telling anyone the BC.
