Got back from NM just in time.

Woof tag is $11.50 good through 12/31

The 270 AM should be about perfect for such a critter.

The take allotment is 2 in my elk hunting area which includes my back yard. And yes there have been woofs there.

Maybe a Wolf forum otta be added to the big game list. The wolfs are being treated a big game, apparently.

Idaho is gonna make a million bucks on this deal. 11.50 X 40,000 tags (I'm not sure of the # of tags being sold) ought to finance a bunch of wild life management. I hope it turns out that way.

I bought my tag yesterday for Montana, looks like everything is still on but we'll see.
We are getting pounded by them, one friend lost 149 sheep rams and two calves last week alone.
I think the MT quota is way low but they have no clue the number of them, they can't even keep up with the ones they know about.
I think the long range guys will be the ones able to kill them on any kind of regular basis, some of the rancher here keep having guns built for longer and longer range as they learn real quick where your effective range is. I think that 270 AM would be a rockn long range wolf thumper.
I second a wolf forum if the season holds.
