I just caved and bought a browning a-bolt hunter 7mm-08 for my girl friend (apparently has more stopping power than .243). While i was at the store looking at the rifle everything looked fine but when i got it home and was about to adjust the scope i noticed that the bbl was touching the stock along one whole side... what should i do??? i haven't touched the rifle the grease from the factory is still in the barrel but the store is closed... should i try to exchange or will they just tell me to send it to the factory... (i regret not getting the Remington now)...
I'd go back to the store and jaw with them a bit and see what comes results.
If that part of the construction is out of wack, other areas may be also.
There is no sense in devaluing the rifle by doing something to it yourself.
