Re: vertical strings at longer range

usually velocity variation.

or bedding, hold, bipod, rest...

How are you shooting pod or rest or bags?

have you chronoed any velocities?

Re: vertical strings at longer range

I suspect its in me or my rests. just got the gun rebarrled wed. from a 22/250 and it would do the same thing.I shot a group yesterday at 560 yards that went 3.44 with no more than inch side to side movement.it is now a 6.5/284 and this is my first longrange rig. its a model 70 that weighs 12 pounds.using sandbags as rest and i havent chronographed any yet . thanks timbo
