Tooling marks on new savage 338 lapua

Very ugly not sure if its a safety issue or will it affect accuracy? Don't believe I should have to pay shipping to get this fixed though. What do you guys think?

Have you contacted Savage Arms (or wherever you purchased the rifle from) and express your issue/concern?

Contacted Savage arms and there sending me a pick up UPs label. Wondering if the repair is going to be noticeable, ill keep you all posted

Looks like there going to try and repair it. So disappointed I paid for a new gun not a repaired rifle. How would they even attempt to try and fix this? Hammer on it then blend and re coat it?

After talking to customer service they are replacing it! So waiting on it
