Savage stock question

Does anyone know what barrel channel is on a 16BSS brown laminated stock? I'm looking for a SA stock to replace the factory synthetic I opened up for a project. The rifle in question has a Pac-Nor #5 on it, which is a little larger than a factory sporter and a little smaller than a varmit barrel. I'd like to find something with a sporter channel I can open rather than have to large of a gap on the sides.

Re: Savage stock question

I believe the 10fp's and the 12 series are the only ones that ever came with a varmint taper barrel. All the 16's are sporters.

Thanks gdragon
I emailed Midway the other day about the brown laminated one they have, and they said it was a sporter channel, but its nice to have that confirmed.
