Sako questions

I have a Sako Forester. I don't know much about these guns. it haas a 24" barrrel and it's not the factory stock but something that was custom made. I paid 500. for the gun a few years ago. I am wondering what kind of info you can help me with. is the barrle on these any good. what is the twist on these? what bullets do they like? I am thinking of useing the action to start another custom rifle. thinking of a tactical .308 not sure of anymore but would this action make a good acurate custom gun for hunting LR and punching paper @ LR?

got any ideas what I could do or any must do things whe nuseing this action for a tactical gun?
